Evaluating gmFortran
A Portable Fortran-to-C Translator
As described here: gmFortran is a legacy-to-modern translation tool you can use in upgrading your legacy Fortran applications to contemporary platforms via automatic conversion to portable, compilable and highly readable C code. Validated by the GSA – and hundreds of large-scale Fortran-to-C migration projects (since 1982) -- it delivers 100% conversion rates, providing seamless portability across modern, open computing platforms. As a product, you may license this tool for self-service use or engage us in a migration services project to assist you.
Proof of Concept Experiment
As part of this assessment, we will be happy to do a sample Fortran-to-C translation of your code. If you will send us a sample of your Fortran source code -- subject to a non-disclosure agreement, if necessary -- we will translate it to C using gmFortran and then show you the resulting code for your evaluation of “how far” this sample translation goes towards building and running it on a standard C platform (Windows or Unix), subject to side-by-side verification. You may include as many lines of Fortran code as you wish in the sample. The POC is provided free of charge.
Get in touch
If you want to see how gmFortran will work in support of your Fortran modernization plans, please complete this form specifying Fortran as your legacy system platform and we will make arrangements for a free Proof-of-Concept translation experiment using your code.
